How to Style a Slip Dress 3 Different Ways!

Hello!! We are right in the middle of holiday season which means there are day and night activities! Either you have a huge closet selection or like me try to buy one piece that I can use multiple times. Going for the multiple use can be challenging!!! And obviously you want to look different, right? Just simple changes can make one piece look completely new. Here I tried it myself with 1 slip dress and styled it 3 different ways! Let me know which you like best in the comments.

How to Style a Slip Dress 3 Different Ways!

The dress

Dark Floral Slip dress and how to Style it 3 ways!PIN IT!

I went for a simple dark floral dress, the one I chose has lace details in the neck and hem line. Looks a bit like lingerie but it is not! This style would be perfect to get in black and turn it into your go to LBD.

 Casual Elegant Outfit

I kept this style simple. I just added hi-heels sandals in a nude color( remember I have to give myself an illusion 5′-2″ here)!! And I went for a darker makeup wearing a dark cherry lipstick and straight hair.

For weddings or special events this style will be a great choice!

 Casual Outfit

Dark Floral Slip dress with a T-shirt Over it and mulesPIN IT!

Because this dress has all the lace detailing, you might think it is just a night-dress. By adding a t-shirt (white is my fave) it just broke it down and it looks like a skirt. I also changed the hi-heels for mules for a more comfortable look.  You can try a more natural make up and side parted hair ! My view with this style was to tone down the dress without taking away from its pretty details.

If you want to try the t-shirt in a different way, wear inside the dress and instead of mules you could go with sneakers,  this will give you an even more casual style. Still the same dress!

 Fall-Winter Outfit

Dark Floral Slip Dress with black sweater and hi knee boots- 3 ways to style a slip dressPIN IT!

Well… This style for me is more of a winter one, living in Florida I don’t get too many cold days and it is mostly hot weather style. Saying that, I do own sweaters and 1 pair of boots for the days that it goes under 70 degrees and we feel we are going to freeze (hahaha).

I love wearing black and therefore I chose to style the dress with a black thin sweater. I paired it with knee boots but for me they are more of an over the knee, again …. short girl problems or advantages? you decide!

This style serves well for meeting the girls or a date with a special someone.

I am so in love with the lace detail, it gives you a peek a boo while covering your legs from the chill weather!

I get you! It is hard plus when you add everything up it gets expensive. Just have to play with what you have, add a little something and voila!

That skip dress is so cute and affordable! I love how you styled it. I feel like I never wear my dresses other than summer so this gave me some inspiration for these colder months!

Love that you came up with your own three ways to style this dress. I’m laughing about your Florida/sweater comments because the first thing I thought about your first way to style was how cold I would be right now wearing it that way! I would love 70 degree days right now! 😉

Lol! I had to clarify because I would be crazy wearing this on cold weather. I love to come up with new ways of wearing my wardrobe, I love getting new stuff but not always! Hope you get your 70 degree weather soon!
